Tip 1: Speak to your child about what they are seeing on their screens

Speak to your child about what they are seeing on their screens. Ask your child questions such as: what are you playing? What’s that video about? This will help you find out how they experience media. Speak from a place of curiosity as much as possible, not with a view to controlling people. Once talking about media together is normalised, your child will come to you at an earlier stage once something goes wrong.
